The Teaching Studio
Situated at an altitude of 800 meters, the hamlet of Régagnas offers a striking setting: wild steppe, horses roaming freely across hundreds of hectares, and a deep stillness ideal for focus and artistic creation.
The studio is a dedicated space for work, research, and experimentation. Each student enjoys their own fully equipped workstation (potter’s wheel, bats, hand tools, precision scale…) alongside unlimited access to raw materials.
Studios remain open 24/7 outside of instruction hours, with no restrictions on equipment or materials—a rare environment designed for total immersion in the craft.
The Library
Built over the past 50 years, our Ceramics Library houses more than 1,500 specialized volumes, including many rare and out-of-print titles. Students have round-the-clock access (nights and weekends included!).
The collection also features ceramic magazines in French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, and Chinese, spanning from the 1980s to the present day.
Research is fully digitalized and organized using the Universal Decimal Classification system—a monumental undertaking made possible by Françoise Bochud.
The Guest Cottages
The hamlet of Régagnas features two traditional dry-stone cottages, providing student accommodation during training courses and available as vacation rentals throughout the rest of the year.
Marked hiking trails, tranquility, and warm hospitality await.
Around the hamlet, you will meet the Cavaliers du Reg and students from L’École des Chevaux de Régagnas, managed by Ariane’s sister, Yasmine. Here, horses move freely across vast, untouched lands. Equestrian art demonstrations, ethological herd visits, and tailored trail rides are available upon request. A unique world of its own, to explore on Yasmine’s website.
