Welcome to the School of Ceramists

Art, Techniques, and Cultures

On the border between the Causses and the Cévennes, the hamlet of Régagnas is home to an exceptional place: the AGIR Céramique vocational training school.

Our Vision

For over 40 years, our philosophy has been to get straight to the point with solid, focused training. We measure its effectiveness by the number and diversity of workshops created each year in the months following the CeraKompakt basic training.

We welcome students from all over the world. Some are beginners; others already have experience with ceramics.

Each training program is structured around each student’s specific project, within the synergy of the group.

Success is inseparable from the student’s deep commitment to immersing themselves in the practice of the craft of the independent potter and ceramic artist.

STUDENT SATISFACTION

The overall satisfaction rate is 99.6% between 2022 and 2026.

Statistics for 2025 & 2026:
100% of students believe the training was tailored to their goals
100% of students believe the training was relevant to the realities of the profession
100% of students would recommend the training

Ariane Coissieux

Director and TEACHER

Ariane began teaching at the Ecole des Céramistes in 1995, under the guidance of her father and mentor, whose techniques and professional ethos she continues to pass on, while constantly refining her teaching methods!

Her work as a ceramic artist is internationally recognized (glaze research, kiln design, tea ceremonies, architectural ceramics, large-scale sculptures).

“Selecting a candidate represents a commitment on my part—to help them reach their full potential based on their current abilities, starting ‘level,’ aspirations, and artistic sensibility.”
